Speaking & Hosting
Leading in a highly charged often polarised context demands that we know how to deeply listen. I give workshops and keynotes on Deep Listening - to business and organisations from the Exec team at Pearson PLC to all staff at Anglo American, from the Ford Foundation to the Atlantic Council. See testimonials below.

I have also hosted discussions and spoken at events from Abu Dhabi to Iceland, Canada to Paris, at the UN Headquarters during the UN General Assembly and at a WHO summit in Geneva. I've chaired multiple discussions for the Skoll World Forum and the Social Progress Imperative, as well as the International Journalism Festival, and the RSA. Other subjects covered include social entrepreneurship, impact investing, cities, air pollution, solutions journalism, and social cohesion.
I host awards, for Catalyst 2030 Ashoka and JW3, and gave a TedX Houses of Parliament talk on encounters with strangers.

Jenna Ben-Yehuda | Executive Vice President, Atlantic Council
"Emily brought enormous energy and insights to our senior leadership strategy sessions. Her research findings on deep listening combined with her humor and breadth of stories yielded a rich and enjoyable opportunity to connect the leaders of our organization to the importance of building connection and truly hearing each other. Against the backdrop of our polarized geopolitics, developing these skills is especially valuable. I would not hesitate to work with Emily again and recommend her to others seeking an external voice to help their organizations develop."
Monique Carter | Chief Human Resource Officer, Anglo American
"Emily created an inspiring session where she shared her model, expertise and some powerful stories to highlight how to practice Deep Listening and how it can really help with collaboration and relieve tensions. Emily went out of her way to align her work with our internal priorities. The live demo she did was a great example of how at ease being deeply listened to can make a person feel, and how that ease allows someone to become very open, even in a first meeting. Good food for thought for our organization where we are driving connections to build trust and collaboration in order to deliver culture change. Many thanks again to Emily for such a thoughtful and impactful session.

Emily Kasriel led a session on Deep Listening for my Human-Centered Design class at Columbia University - a mix of undergraduate students from across the university, graduate engineers, and MBA students; 120 students in total. It was a great learning experience for them, and for me. Emily doesn’t just present, she brings the ideas to life for students by helping them to experience firsthand the power of deep listening with each other. I could tell in the studio sessions that followed that they had internalized what Emily had taught and they were more confident talking and listening to each other.
